Watermark University Offers 250 Free Classes for Local Seniors in Rochester

The opportunities to learn aren’t restricted to the young in Rochester, NY. Legacy communities, a part of Watermark Retirement Communities, has unveiled more than 250 free classes open to local seniors during the fall session of Watermark University. The initiative brings residents, associates, family members and the public together to teach and take courses that span the multiple dimensions of wellness. With nine communities in the greater Rochester area, there are classes close by for everyone. The foundation of Watermark University (WU) is to provide meaningful opportunities to learn, teach and grow, resulting in a life of overall well-being. Research shows that learning and keeping the mind active and sharp supports healthy aging.

Among the ongoing classes is Chair Yoga from 11 a.m. to noon every Friday at Watermark’s Legacy at Clover Blossom community in Rochester. Yoga is a combination of different postures, breathing patterns and meditation, and the benefits are endless.

The Watermark Legacy at Clover Blossom community is located at McAuley Dr, Rochester, NY 14610. The on-site contact for more information is Marisa Pinner, Community Life Director, at 585-218-9000 ext. 103 and mmpinner@watermarkcommunities.com.

The classes run through December, 2019. For the full schedule of classes, visit: https://legacycloverblossom.watermarkcommunities.com.
